Why Now?

 It has been roughly a year (more like 13 months) since we moved into our house in Shanghai. 

This first year got out of control. You might tell me that any life change takes time and you are right (also I did really underestimate the impact) but we might have overdone ourselves again on that one.

So yes last year was crazy as we had to digest the fact that we moved out of the US and closed a 11 year chapter of our life and the only life that my kids have known so far. 

But last year was also crazy because we had to adjust to whole new culture; and basically starting from scratch; different city size, local culture really far from our habits, international community mix, new school... you name it we had to do it.

And obviously last year was crazy as we had to live in a zero COVID bubble far from the other countries in the world 😷😷😷

So why now?

I think I actually need to process this chapter of my life and this past year. I need to make it real as once in a while I wonder if it is a dream (mostly bad) and might wake up at some point.

I shared many picture on social media but it is time to put some words with those pictures; China is a fascinating country; it has been showing pretty bad faces lately but we have also discovered some amazing beauties and met wonderful people.
